The Advance Group Comes Through For Long Island Cares

On behalf of the Long Island Chapter of the Society for Marketing Professional Services and Long Island Cares, The Harry Chapin Food Bank, I would like to thank you for so generously stepping in at the last minute to help us out during SMPS Canstruction® Long Island 2009.

When the company that had originally agreed to transport our donated cans of food reneged on their commitment, we were in dire straits. After all, it’s not easy to get a company to agree to move over 40,000 cans of food from RXR Plaza to the Long Island Cares Warehouse at a moment’s notice … and for free!

Long Island Cares was in desperate need of this food, as many of the cases were going to be used the same day they were due to arrive at the warehouse. Your company truly saved the day! Without your assistance, Long Island Cares would have been unable to meet their commitment to provide these cans of food to hungry Long Islanders.

Once again, thank you for your support of this important event. At a time when the need in our area is particularly acute, we appreciate the speed with which you stepped up to the plate and the generosity of your assistance.
